Conditions we can Help:
The first step for everyone is to come in for two 45-minutes sessions of assessment and initial consultation. This two-sessions is a rich assessment. You will experience a greater sense of clarity around your struggle and how we can best help you. Should you choose not to join us following the consultation, you will be left with an understanding of your treatment needs moving forward and sound recommendations to do so.
After those two sessions; it is determined which therapist you will be assigned to, depending on your diagnosis.
For clients experiencing depression, anxiety or grief, we will connect you with our Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) Serena Manoochehri—who specializes in these areas and works under the clinical supervision of Halle Sailer. After the assessment, Halle Sailer will discuss which clinician may be best suited for your needs and can answer any questions or concerns you may have.
In therapy sessions, clients will establish a greater sense of self-awareness and recognize their patterns and habits that have come to shape their lives. Dependent upon your individual circumstances, we offer the following treatment sessions and as needed for you.
Dear Parents,
It has been suggested by your child's doctor that your child might benefit from a group we are running to help children/adolescent to cope with their anxiety issues. These can include:
CBT will help to learn coping skills for life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence based psychotherapy that teaches how to cope with these fears by changing how your teen thinks (cognitive) about the fearful situation and it also teaches behaviors that help calm the teen so they can think more appropriately about their anxiety.
Group Therapy and Parent-Teenager Consultations:
The first interview is a family consultation for parents and their teenager. This is:
Please note for acceptance to the group therapy that is OHIP covered, a referral by your family doctor or pediatrician is required.
After your child has been accepted to the group therapy, there will be seven group sessions with your child and additional two individual family-consultation sessions.
During the individual family-consultation session, your child's or adolescent's progress is discussed, support tips, and parenting advice are provided. The group sessions are covered by OHIP.
Please also note, there is a one-time charge of a $150 administration fee for arranging and organisation around the group program sessions.
In case there is any financial difficulty to pay this administration fee, please mention this to Halle Sailer when inquiring about the group program. We can offer individual solutions by identifying suitable arrangements.
For further questions in order to arrange an assessment interview or to secure a place for your adolescent/child as soon as possible for the next upcoming group sessions, please call Halle Sailer @ 416-737 8775.
We look forward to meeting you and your child or teen.
